Accessibility

At Parkhouse Lodges we believe that every one of our guests should be able to enjoy their stay to the full. This is why all our lodges and tents are set up to be accessible to all users, including people with disabilities, limited mobility, sight loss and wheelchair users.

If you need some additional assistance getting around during your stay with us, that is fine. We will go out of our way to accommodate you and to make sure you feel at home during your holiday. If you have a disability, getting about while on holiday can be a stressful experience. We don’t believe it needs to be this way.

Our owner has sixteen years’ experience as a community carer for people with mobility difficulties, and so we are passionately committed to ensuring equal access to all our facilities for disabled guests and their carers. Talk to us about your needs today and we will set up your accommodation to be accessible and comfortable before you arrive.

Respite Care

Caring for a loved one can be very demanding physically and mentally. It’s a role that requires 100 per cent commitment, and a lot of selflessness. No matter how committed you are to the needs of the person you’re caring for, you also need to make time for yourself.

Parkhouse Lodges enable carers to ensure their loved ones receive the help and support they need whilst they take a short break from their roles. The carers we employ are positive about what they do. They’re highly trained and can provide nursing-led support when needed – from helping people to manage their medication, to providing them with mobility support

Visitors can either bring their own carer with them or we will be able to access a local care team to provide support. Should medication, medical assistance be required, we could use our local GP surgery providing a copy of the care plan, medical needs were provided in plenty of time.
